BASIX - Free BASIX Reviews

Anybody can complete a BASIX certificate. There is no knowledge pre-requisites, licensing or insurance requirements. This decision was made by the Department of Planning under building industry pressure to cut red tape and certification fees involved in new development applications.

The sad reality is a large percentage of home owners and developers are incurring many thousands of dollars in un-necessary upgrades because the person completing the report did not realize the impact of their decisions.

In the case of multi-unit buildings where every inclusion is multiplied many times over the smallest over sights can add hundreds of thousands of dollars to a building project and leave a hole in company profits.

Efficient Living offers a free ‘BASIX Review Service’ to any industry professional with an existing BASIX certificate. Simply email us a copy of the plans and certificate and we will offer our professional advice – obligation free.

"The first time we worked with Efficient Living they completed a 'Free Basix Review' of a high rise apartment tower. As a result Meriton saved a significant amount of money in compliance costs and continues to do so. Equally as important Efficient Living, in most cases, has been able to standardise requirements across our developments making it simpler for our architects and builders to implement. Efficient Living strives to provide basix reports which meet with our objectives without "breaking the bank". We now count on Efficient Living for all our Basix needs, including reviewing and improving basix reports we take on when we purchase new sites.Efficient Living derive outcomes which save us many hundred of thousands of dollars and in some instances millions We would strongly urge all architects, builders and developers to give Efficient Living a try so that they can show you how to save money, provide solutions within the parameters you set whilst still ensuring that the underlying objectives of saving water and energy and improving thermal comfort are achieved"
